The All-Star break falls on July 18th-19th this year, giving the Cardinals a few days off right before their series in Atlanta. St. Louis’ final homestand of 2022 takes place from September 27th-October 2nd against the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs. The regular season wraps up with a road trip to Pittsburgh for the final three games from October 3rd-5th.

As in past years, the Cardinals will play most of their home games on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Thursday games at Busch Stadium are less common, with only four scheduled in 2022 – April 21st vs. Kansas City, May 19th vs. Milwaukee, June 30th vs. Cincinnati, and September 15th vs. San Francisco.

St. Louis will look to stay in contention for another playoff berth throughout their challenging 2022 schedule. Key stretches include a 10-game West Coast road trip in June that sees them face the Dodgers, Padres and Giants. Late season series against other NL playoff hopefuls like the Braves, Phillies and Mets will also be crucial. Solid starting pitching and a potent lineup led by Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado and Dylan Carlson give the Cardinals a good chance to compete. Fans will be hoping for more October baseball at the end of another 162-game grind in 2022.
